Fender Jazz Bass Geddy Lee Body & Pickguard

Sign in to disble this ad
So I did a conversion on a Geddy Jazz because I wanted a white body Ged. That means I have a leftover bass body that I'll never use. Perfect condition... not a mark on it.

$150. I'll throw in the Geddy Lee pickguard for free (no screws).
Beat that.

No trades.

Prices include shipping via FedEx Ground, will ship to CONUS only. Paypal only.

Worried about my seller history? Check my eBay feedback here.

PM or email to three2112@hotmail.com.

Thanks!

For those interested in how the conversion project turned out... here's a pic:

It was easy to move all the GL stuff to the new body. It's a little warmer than the regular GL, even though the new body is alder. That's an abalone pickguard. This bass is not for sale.

Okay, folks... I've come into another black GL Jazz Bass body & white pickguard (no screws) because I absolutely needed another bass and didn't want black again.

There are some light scratches on this one, but nothing I could get the camera on. So in other words, nothing serious. When I take a picture of it, it looks just like the one in the first post's pic.

Same deal as before: $150 FedEx-shipped CONUS only, paypal only, PM or e-mail me at three2112@hotmail.com.

Thanks!

Wanna see the new bass? Take a look:

Nitrocellulose finish: Bravo Guitar Creations
Assembly & setup: Honest Ron's Guitars

It sounds as good as it looks, and plays like a dream come true. It is prolly better than my original Ged. It is not for sale, either.

Someone asked for pictures of the used GL bass body I have for sale.

Please note the following:

As I mentioned before, there is no real damage to the paint aside from the kind of hairline scratches you get from polishing (that I could find). No scratches to the wood, no scratches really beyond anything I could see were just light surface scratches. That includes the little yellow reflections you see along the edges of the body... those are just from the room lighting. Of course there may be more scratches in the area where the pickguard, jackplate, neckplate, bridge, and/or strap buttons mount.

So if you can't see the scratches in the pictures, I apologize. A better photographer with better equipment probably could, but I'm just an amateur wanker with crummy equipment.

The "GL" stamp in the neck pocket is faint, but it's there.

Basically, if you want a body in better condition, you'll prolly need to buy it new.

The pickguard still has the protective layer of peel-off plastic on it.

I included a picture of the set of screws that I found that I will be including with the body & pickguard. The screws may have minor screwdriver damage here and there.

Here they are:

I like your style!

Great ideas to personalize your basses. I am interested in the GL bass body that comes with the pickguard. Would it be possible to measure the width and length of the neck pocket. I have a Moses graphite neck that would look great on that body. Thanks Boss!

Sale pending.

Adam Clayton? Now I feel like burning it... lol.

Might be doing another one in the near future. I have a brand-new beautifully quilted alder-body JB Deluxe that might look good as a GL.

Or I just might sell it as is.

Thanks for all the interest and compliments...

I haven't received payment yet, but I just got the pending buyer's commitment. If I don't receive payment in a reasonable amount of time, I'll put it back up.

Thanks again!

If this isn't sold by Saturday 6/6 at noon, I'm gonna put it up eBay...

Get it cheap while you can... the last one on eBay went for >$200, and that was without the pickguard.
