For Sale: Most of a Jazz Deluxe
I picked up an "excellent condition" (MN8XXXXXX) 1998 MIM Fender Jazz Deluxe 4 string a few days ago as a project. I brought it to a local luthier for a shakedown and he says all parts seem in great shape. I'm keeping the neck and body but the rest is up for sale.
*All parts are in great shape, would gladly keep if i wasn't upgrading. I can't see any rust or damage to anything, just a few years old
*All items are $__ obo shipped to CONUS or Canada. Paypal, certified cheque or local cash preferred.
*Only trades +/- $ would be for a Badass II for 4 string, black, or Schaller BML tuners (or similar) in black.

-luthier said the pickups are "definitely not stock", but he couldn't identify them. He suggested they may be "older Dimarzios" but wasn't sure, we can't find any identifying marks or logos
-solid, ballsy sound, would keep if I was doing a "Geddy" thinkg
-pickup covers are different sizes, as typical w MIA and MIM Deluxes

Jazz Deluxe Control Plate w/ knobs + preamp
-w screws
-4 knob, 4 hole. 1 stacked knob.
-Fender-branded active preamp. I'm assuming it's original, but it could be from a MIA as I usually don't like MIM preamps but did like this one
-knobs spin fine, detents are still there but but don't *click* as nicely as my Warwick does. Not sure if this is typical Fender or not
-control plate fits like a Fender plate should. knobs are mounted solid. clean, but a little TLC would make it sparkle
-I actual like this preamp, pretty decent tone control, complimented the pickup. Would keep if an Aguilar wasn't already on the way.
-I believe controls are Volume, Pickups Blend, Stacked Bass/Treble, Tone, but i could be wrong.
