Fender Noiseless Jazz Bass Pups ...

Sign in to disble this ad
These pickups are very quiet because they are stacked humbuckers, and have that classic-yet-modern tonality that really makes for a wonderful tone ... $50 shipped to lower 48 only please ... PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD TO UNDERSTAND WHY SO INEXPENSIVE ...

Will fit most any J bass with standard sized pickups (3.6" neck and 3.73" bridge). They have plenty of lead left on them. They were removed from an 2002 USA Fender Jazz Deluxe bass.

The issue that was occurring in this particular bass was a current going between the pole pieces and the string on a bass with an Audere preamp. What that means is, the insulation inside of the pickup was getting bad.

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR A BUYER?

Well, the pickups work fine and will do so for a long time to come. They will work just fine in a passive bass, and even most active basses that use passive components before the preamp (Aguilar, Fender, Sadowsky, etc.).

The insulation breakdown only seems to come into play when the pickups are installed in a BUFFERED INPUT, which are found on EAST or AUDERE preamps.
And even with those, fellow TB'ers have fixed the problem with electrical tape on the pole pieces.

That was for full disclosure. I don't want to surprise anyone with that discovery.

So in essence, if you are looking to make a passive, basic Jazz bass sound like a much nicer, passive Jazz bass, these pickups are a steal.
If you like active, as long as you don't have a buffered pre, you'll have no issues.

Allparts sells these new for $204... so these are a steal at $58 shipped to the lower 48 only please .. PP is fine

These pups were installed on a Squier bass that I recently purchased, and worked perfectly, except for the fact that the seller had incorrectly installed the (longer) bridge pup in the neck position, and I didnt care for the way that the pick-up poles lined up under the strings, so I removed them and am now parting the bass out ...

** special thanks to rojo412, as much of this text is supplied with his permission, and was a direct result of HIS legwork to establish full disclosure. **

I would have absolutely no issue using these pickups myself, and in their ability to perform in the settings listed above, but I need to liquidate these items in an attempt to recover monies paid to a fellow TB'er that does NOT share the same integrity as myself or rojo412 ... LMK if you want pictures, I can forward to a supplied email ... thank you
