SOLD-First up, a 1973 Fender Precision Bass maple/maple neck with a few issues, namely the bit of maple missing from the backside of the nut and it also is a victim of some slight tongue rising in the neighborhood between the 15th and 20th frets. Certainly playable with an investment in some luthier time, or if you can do the work yourself, maybe no investment at all. Replaced nut and frets, with many years of use ahead of them. Original finish and decal, truss rod nut moves freely, and loaded with vintage Fender patina. Only $200.00 plus shipping+insurance-SOLD!
SOLD-Next, a 1974 Fender Precision bass body, featuring an engraved roadrunner on the face with the initials "JD" on it- anyone know who this might be? This came to me with ~6 coats of different color paints on it and I stripped it down to the fullerplast to uncover the artwork. Ideally, all this needs is some routing, a hunk of matching timber to fill the hole, and a solid color finish to remove all memories of this, or for the new owner's initials to be "JD.":-) It weighs ~6.5 pounds, there's a bit of relief in the volume pot area, and two extra paint stick holes in the neckpocket. Correct control rout and pin router holes on the back, currently has a thin coat of clear finish, and the neck listed above fits nicely in this one. Only $200.00 plus shipping+insurance-SOLD!
