I have a Fender Standard Jazz body, I believe is Lake Placid Blue with white p/g, fully loaded ... it actually looks very good, with only one real ding, and in a very good place ... I purchased this bass to get the neck, for a P bass body I have, with the understanding that their was a 'short' in the electronics ... it turns out, there is actually a 'hum' (other than 60 cycle I think) that is steadily there ... the pickups and tone/volume controls seem to work fine, and it sounds very good, but the 'hum' is everpresent ... anyway, I dont get into the technical end of these all that much, and all I was after was the neck, so off the body goes to somebody that likes to tinker, or parts basses out ... it could be a very easy simple thing for all I know, but that is just it, I do not know ...
I paid $250 + shpg. for the complete bass with the known issue, because it looked so nice, and I am keeping the neck and tuners .. I would like to get ... $139 shipped ... for the complete and loaded body (it really does look good) ... I am unable to post pics on here, but send a note with email and I will forward a few to you ... thank you
