This is a Dec. 2005 American Standard body (they called it American Series then) and FWIW, I'm the original owner. I have changed some parts, but its all USA still. I went from a black to white 'guard, and from S-1 switching to conventional P-bass wiring (did the wiring myself and tried very hard to make it neat. And hey, the capacitor has color coordinated shrink tubing on the wires! lol ). Alder with the discontinued (as of about 2006) Butterscotch color. Weight of the loaded body is about 6 lb 9 oz according to my scale.
Am Std pickup, bridge, knobs, pickguard, new CTS pots, vintage CTS output jack. Fender Corona neck plate and neck screws will be included. Some playing wear, but not bad. There are surface scratches in the paint and pickguard, but no deep scratches or gouges. One tiny ding near the output jack, slightly larger than a pin head, but the paint could probably be buffed to look near brand new. There is a spot of uneven color on the neck heel (pictured below).
Folks, this is a nice body. $300 shipped to 48 states.

Question, do you still have the original black guard? (I go for the black.) Also, how's the routing down around the input jack and pickguard? I've seen some newer Fenders where the pickguard barely covers the cavity and there is reflection off the finish actually showing the edge of the cavity. I'll be thinking heavily on your "bod" tonight on the night shift. LOL

No, I don't still have the black guard. Easily remedied. You can paint this one with Krylon Fusion (for plastic). Or, simply buy a black 13 hole guard. Yeah, the pickguard barely covers the cavity near the jack, but it does cover. If you tilt the body a little, you can see the very edge of the cavity there, but that's only because the guard is not laying perfectly flat with the body right there. If it were laying perfectly flat, you could not see it at all. |

I really liked the white guard look with the butterscotch. Almost looks like a heavily yellowed late 60's/early 70's Olympic white body (many of those would have had white guards).

Not really an issue, unless you want to make it an issue I suppose. The guard covers the rout.
Yes, somewhere in the neighborhood of 9.5 pounds with neck. |

You know, if a person wanted to, it could be restored back to pretty much original. The S-1 switch and the special knob that goes with it is usually available on ebay. You might even find the complete harness with minimal wiring work reuqired. Also, the single ply black guard is probably available, although I haven't looked. With the S-1 and black guard, it would be same as original.
