FREE Sterling By Musicman Ray34 Pick Guard B-W-B

Free, you cover shipping.

I bought the above bass in honeyburst approx. 1 year ago. After playing it a while I wiped it down and to my surprise just below the pickup some of the plastic in the pick guard flaked out and got under the towel and made 3 or 4 pretty big scratches in the pick guard. Bummer.

I emailed sterling support and they happily sent me a free guard to replace it.

At some point after I got it, I tried to install it but to my surprise only a few of the holes lined up. I had no interest in re-drilling the holes in the bass, so I left it as is. Yesterday I sold the bass locally (Just not my thing, nothing wrong with the bass) and the new owner had no interest in drilling new holes either.

So here it is, you cover shipping and it's yours. It's a black, white, black, 3 layer stock guard from Sterling by Musicman Ray34. Still has the protective plastic on it, never installed.

First valid PM takes it.

EDIT: I've received a couple PM's from SBMM Stingray owners, this guard is not a drop in fit for them. The 2 mfg's used a slightly different shape on the pickup, resulting in a different shape in the PU hole on the guard. I'm reserving this guard for a Ray34 owner that may may need it. If not then it's already spoken for by the first SBMM Stingray owner that PM'd me.

Added a pic for clarification, the black one is the one I'm offering, the scratches are on the protective film, not the guard itself.

Guard is still available to a Ray34 owner untill July 9th, 2010. If not then it's taken by a SBMM Stingray owner.
