I am not a commercial builder just a hobbiest with alot of extra lumber.
I am cutting up a bunch of fretboards this week and I am going to have some leftovers for whoever is interested: Size: 3+" x 1/4 x 26" Scale options: 30, 32, 34, 35 Wood Choices:
bubinga: lightly figured and straight grained Purpleheart: quarter sawn with beautiful light beeswing figure Roasted Maple: AAA very elgant coloring and some good curl Tigerwood Paduak]: Straight grained light ribbon Eastern Maple: AAAA extremely curly, but it is a softer maple birdseye maple: AAAA crazy quilted and tons of birdseyes
Sapele: Ribbon Grain
I also have a bunch of 25.5 and les paul scale guitar boards I will be cutting at the same time in rosewood and extremly hard curly maple (15.00 for 3A rosewood or 20 for crazy curly maple)
here is the pricing I am thinking:
30 plus shipping per board or 3 for 100 shipped!
I will try to get pictures up of the wood choices soon! I am resawing this weekend and getting the blanks all ready.
These boards will not have a radius, I do all my boards flat, I personally love the feel
Just let me know and I will see what I can do to hook ya up. I have alot of wood laying around and I am trying to clean shop!

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: Bellingham, WA | | | I also found a piece of really dark madagascar (not macassar) ebony, almost jet black, I was going to keep this for my private stash because I paid 50 just for the board, but I could do a slotted fretboard or fretless board for 75 shipped out of it.
Also I found a little bit of lighter colored bloodwood, some yew, and lots more curly maple that I can make boards of. Send me a PM of which woods you are interested in and I will get pictures updated in the next couple days with the exact pieces of wood so you can pick your exact piece.
So far here is what I have:
8 blanks bubinga
5 blanks bass 1 blank guitar figured purple heart
a couple handfuls of curly maple boards some hard maple, some soft
5 rosewood guitar blanks
1 blank madagascar ebony
6 blanks ribbon sapele
6 blanks bloodwood
2 blanks quilted birdseye maple
4 blanks roasted maple
2 blanks paduak ( I will have to check on sizes)
4 blanks tigerwood
I was also thinking if you need more than 3 for some reason I would do 115 shipped for 4
and if you wanted lots of rosewood guitar boards 60 shipped for 5 boards slotted... or 100 for 5 super curly maple boards slotted |
