FS: 1971 Fender Fretless rosewood bass neck SOLD

For Sale: 1971 Fender Fretless rosewood bass neck

A few things:
-The neck has a light stamp on it. It’s hard to see it in the pic, but it looks like it says ' 5 03 71 B '

-The nut has been replaced (rosewood?), but it works fine and the tuners look original. One of the tuners is slightly bent and little harder to turn than the others, but again, it works fine.

-There is some wear on the sides running the length of the neck and a few dings and dents.

-The rosewood board looks beautiful. There is some light scratching from roundwound strings, but it’s very minor (see pics). The truss rod works in both directions and it plays great (low action).

-There were 4 holes drilled to fit onto another body. They were filled with dowels and don't affect the tightness of the fit. This sounds worse than it really is as you can see from the pics.

Other than that, this is a great playing neck in good, solid condition. I like to give full descriptions of any wear/issues, but if you held this neck in your hand, you would think I'm knit-picking.

SOLD

now $475 shipped, probably going to end up on ebay, but I'd rather someone here get it.

Hi there. Are the side markers aligned with the fret positions, or between them (as on a fretted bass neck)?

Thanks...

The side marker dots are between the frets; not aligned with the frets, just like a fretted bass.

Thanks for the interest.

Good price. I wish it was fretted - I'd be on it.

Thanks again. I just wish there were more fretless players looking for vintage pieces.

Sitting at $102.50 with only a couple days left. I hope I don't take a bath on this one.
