Do you know the amount of boost/cut and the center frequencies on the Low End pre? I believe it's based on the John Suhr 2-band, which I used to have and would love to have again. If this is similar, I'm interested...

Sorry but I've never seen the specs posted on the LEJ preamp anywhere. Maybe someone else can chime in on what the LEJ settings are.

Fender jazz plate and Audere Classic 4 Band both sold!

What are the frequencies for the Roscoe Audere pre? The Q-switch is the Z-mode switch? What kind of switch would be needed? Would this come with knobs?

I have spoken to Roscoe a few times about the frequencies and I've been told that frequencies were never quantified or written down. They set them where they liked the sound and had them built that way at Audere. I believe this is just a preset that can be dialed out to your liking.

The Q-switch is the same as the Z-mode switch. I probably should have called it the Z-mode switch based on the Audere terminology. I couldn't tell you what Q or Z stands for so they might be used differently, technically speaking, but on the Audere preamp it's a Z-mode switch. On this preamp, it's a simple SPDT On/Off/On switch that can be purchased for $5 -10. It's simple to connect as there are 3 wires that need to be connected to 3 different connections. I can provide a diagram on where the wires need to go.

ETA, this comes with all the POT's, except for the Z-mode SPDT On/Off/On switch. There are no knobs included.

No problem. Thanks! Have you used the LEJ preamp? If so, what can you say about it compared to the Auderes and Bartolini? I'm still interested...

Thanks.

Well, it's really personal preference and your type of music. I like to keep several basses with different preamps for different styles of music. The LEJ is very clean and hi-fi. It's transparent in my opinion too. It's a slapper's dream. The Audere is a really transparent preamp also. It's nice to have the 4 bands of control where you can dial in that sweet spot for some nice punchy fingertone. The Bart is a very good preamp too. It's a nice growly preamp in my experiences that does everything very well from fingertone to slap. All these are great preamps that would really serve you well depending on what you're looking for.

The LEJ is sold.
The Bart and Roscoe Audere are still available.

can a passive tone be added to the Audere? Also, can one of the stacked pots be split to 2 seperate pots?

.

Splitting the pots to more or less pots is an easy thing to do for sure! Adding passive tone can be done but I haven't done that with this particular preamp so I'm only 98% sure you can do it.

Bartolini NTMB preamp is gone!
