Bathroom scale says 4 pounds. I say when built up, it's comparatively light. Not the ultimate featherweight for the hyper-obsessive, but very pleasant, especially by '70s Fender standards.
As you can see, it's been refinished. It doesn't elevate the fine art of instrument finishing. You can see a bit of spongy texture in the photo, as well as the grain (which isn't the prettiest ash specimen of all time). It gets the job done, though - no sweat staining in the 10 years I've had it!
A previous owner doweled all the pickguard & ashtray screw holes, trying to give it a "music man" look. I went ahead and pimped it out with a tort guard, which IMHO was an infinite improvement.
Also note the J rout. This is why I'm ditching this body. I personally greatly prefer the simplicity of just the one pickup. Rather than fill this in and cover it up with an opaque finish, I swapped in a '74 body.
I really love the way this body resonates. I once promised myself never to separate it from its neck (but you know how that goes). I'm sure I'll kick myself for doing this, but it's time to clean house.
Asking $300, shipped CONUS. PayPal preferred. EDIT: Deposit paid - body on HOLD.
Add $25 for the guard (loaded w/ 3 quality pots & jack, was doing weird things - a connection or two may need to be resoldered).
Reasonable offers considered. Probably no trades - I'm trying to raise some money.
Thanks for looking!
