A unique, discontinued pedal from the same series as the Deep Impact.
This baby has some scratches but it 100% structurally sound and totally functional.
More than a wah-wah, the Variwah is also an envelope filter/touch wah with a built-in expression pedal!
The wide sweep was hated by guitarists, but with adjustability, it is a bass player's dream! Width and speed of the swell are adjustable using knobs, as are attack time (response time), offset (sweep range), and touch sensitivity - this is a very flexible wah!
When used in "touch wah" mode, the wah becomes an expression pedal with selectable control: width, offset, touch sensitivity, and most interestingly, speed: When "speed" is selected in touch wah mode, a rolling envelope filter is activated, with the sweep deactivated in pedal up position, the rolling rate increasing as you tilt it forward. This is a rare, if not unique, feature that I found made an interesting change of pace from tremolos and sequenced patterns.
