FS: ALLPARTS JAZZ BASS NECK - $200

Sign in to disble this ad
This is an Allparts Rosewood/Maple Jazz bass neck. It is fitted with 3 Hipshot HB2 tuners and 1 Hipshot BT2 D-Tuner and a tusq nut.

FEATURES:

The neck has been part of a parts bass I put together I played gigs with for 3 years. The truss-rod is in good shape with plenty of room for adjustment and the wood is not warped.

Threaded inserts have been installed so that you can use machine screws to bolt the neck onto the body. I had this neck connected to an Alder MIM Fender Precision Bass body. This should fit into any Fender body with minimal (if any) fuss. (Machine screws are included!)

As you can see, it has vintage-style blocks and binding. It also has a Fender decal on it, which came with the neck when I got it.

CONDITION

There are various dings and scratches from practices and gigs I have played.

I had some stickers on the headstock, which kept part of it from changing color like the rest of the headstock did.

This neck initially had Hipshot Ultralite bass tuners installed. There are still drill holes leftover from that, which are almost completely covered up by the larger vintage-style Hipshots that I had put on by Evan Gluck at New York Guitar Repair.

The residue on the D-Tuner is leftover lithium grease from previous applications to keep it working smoothly.

WHY AM I SELLING THIS NECK?

I found I like maple fretboards better.

PICTURES!

OVERALL

I believe that I captured all the aspects of this neck pretty well, but please PM me if you have any quesitons.

I admit that this neck is not in mint condition, but the thing plays really well, is in good shape, and elicits lots of compliments and questions from audience members after shows.

Given the cost of getting a similarly kitted-out neck on your own, $200 is a great price. The tuners alone would set you back over $100 and a similar Allparts bass neck new seems to go for more than $350 nowadays.

So treat yourself! Buy this great neck today!

OTHER STUFF

Unless otherwise requested, I plan on shipping this by USPS Priority Mail with the tracking and delivery confirmation options in place. The price of that will be included with the $200 price. Any more expensive options will result in a change in price.

The item will be sent out to the USPS for shipping within 3 days of confirmation of payment.

I accept Paypal. I've never used any other service, so I'd like to stick with Paypal.

As I stated before, please PM me with any questions you might have. I will do my best to provide any other information you might need.

Happy holidays!
