FS: AllParts #PMO Unfinished Maple P-Bass Neck

Sign in to disble this ad
Just took delivery of this neck two weeks ago. I've changed my P Bass build plans, so she has to go. There's a little bit of fret sprout, which is perfectly normal with any neck, and easily addressed with some 600 grit, followed by 000 steel wool. In reality, it's much better to deal with the inevitable fret sprout now, before the neck is finished. Neck is perfectly straight with no issues whatsoever. I selected this neck off an Ebay seller specifically for the beautiful wood grain.

Neck specs from AllParts website:
* 20 frets (.103" x .045")
* Solid Maple 1-piece bass neck, sanded, unfinished and ready to spray
* 10” radius
* Nut width 1-5/8”
* Heel width 2-7/16”
* Tuning peg hole diameter 11/16”
* Truss Rod adjustment at heel
* Neck thickness .92“ at first fret, 1.00“ at twelfth fret

Looking to get what I paid for it.
$155 $145 Shipped CONUS including insurance / delivery confirmation.
PayPal only. No trades. Thanks!

It's unfinished.
I'll make that more prominent in the thread.
Thanks!

Dumb question...can the neck be left unfinished or does it need to be sprayed to be functional?

thanks for your question—
it needs to be finished before build-up and playing. i was originally intending to go with a tinted nitro finish on this neck, but there are options for finishing (like tru-oil) that don't involve spraying.

It's very easy to finish a neck with Tru-oil. I bet the grain would really pop out.

This is a great neck..... priced right IMO.... You couldn't ask for a better deal on a one piece maple neck.

But dude... you should delete all these bumps! Really. The rules?

This as low as it goes. If it don't sell soon, I'm going to Tru-Oil this mamma and keep for myself.
