Sign in to disble this ad
Like new Audere JZ3 jazz style pre-amp with Z mode switch.
Set up as Vol, Z switch, Vol, stacked bass / treble. Easy install with screw down terminal connectors. No soldering required. Slides right into most jazz basses. Complete with original box and all paperwork. Sounds and works great. I have just gone back to passive. Asking $125.00 shipped in conus. Paypal preferred.

Man I have been looking at the Z-mode Jazz Pre - Vol, Mid/Bal, Tre/Bass (JZ3-VB-3B) with the black knob option.

Any routing necessary? Also, what are the limitations to this such as number/type of PU's and connections if someone were to customize? Thx

I have an Audere in a Fender Jazz bass. No routing was required and I run two NJ4SE pups in mine. The connections were screw-type (no soldering). These go for about 235.00 new by the way, at least that's what I paid.

Good point. My bass body was an '07 or '08 MIM body. FYI.

You're right. I looked at the wrong line on the ol' spreadsheet.

The NJ4Se's - 235
Audere - 160.25.

That's what I get for trying to help.

Bump

These are a simple install. Fits most fender jazz basses. The only exception is real vintage 1960's fender jazz basses. Why would you want to do that anyway? No problem with vintage re-issues. I had it installed on a Fender custom shop relic. I just had to put it back to passive though.
No soldering required. Just remove remove your existing controls connect the pickup wires to the screw down terminals, connect the battery and drop the new plate/preamp in. You are ready to go. This one is set up as volume/volume/stacked treble and bass. The Z-mode switch gives a quick low or high boost. They will really "light up" a jazz bass.
