| PM replied to... Yeah, the Sobbat PB-2 is a little obscure, so I'll just say a few words about it...
Soundwise it has a lot of character, much more similar to a smallstone, a lot less like an mxr. The sweep covers a nice wide range. The jag control adjusts the symmetry of the sweep. In the center it is symetrical. Turning it to either the left or right shortens either the rise time or the fall time, respectively, to give you either a ramp-up or a ramp-down feel. The toggle switch settings... the phase 1 and phase 2 settings are a lot like the color switch settings on a smallstone, phase 1 is more subtle and good for faster speed settings, phase 2 is more dramatic and good for slower speed settings. The vibrato setting cuts the dry signal completely out of the output, so you just hear the phase shifted sound which gives a kind of a poor man's rotary speaker effect. Pretty cool and also a pretty common mod for DIY'ers to do. It's just not found on very many commercial pedals, so the PB-2 is kind of unique in that respect.
So that's the Sobbat's story.
Thanks
~ Charlie
