>>>>>Take BOTH sets of these Dean Markleys for $22 shipped in CONUS. They are in great shape and not been used for more than a day and never used at a gig or rehearsal<<<<< Pix below

Been going through a "try 'em out phase". They have NOT been gigged and not even rehearsed with and none have been on a bass for more than a day or two. Paypal or Postal money order in CONUS. PM or email me for more info. All pix below.

>>>>>Just added some more slightly used DR strings.<<<<<

ADDED 1 set of DR Nickel Low-Riders which have a NEW G string which was wound on a bass mistakenly and NEW D-A-E strings which were never used and a NEW but used B string. A weird set I know, two strings are used but new lol. They are .45 .65 .85 .105 .130.
Asking $20 shipped. Photo below:

ADDED 1 used Signature DR Marcus Miller set. Used for a day. May as well be like new. Not gigged or rehearsed with. The box was torn open. Was strung on my Lakland fiver. The Signature set is .45 .65 .80 .105 .125
Asking $15 shipped. Photo below:

**SOLD**1 used set of Lakland Joe Osborn Flats - 4 string set .45-.106 Had these on my Pbass for a year. The Pbass sat in it's case and the strings might as well be brand new. Asking $23 shipped

**SOLD**1 used DR SUNBEAMS 5 string set. Used for a couple of hours. Then put back in box. They've been just sitting around for a year. These were cut for a 5 string Zon with 35" scale. Asking $15 shipped.

**SOLD**1 set of DR FLATWOUNDS .45 .65 .85 .105 .125 (was cut to fit my 35" scale Lakland 5 thru-bridge)
Nice flats-very smooth finish-great fundamental-old school sound. Wound on a round core. Medium tension-very comfortable. Asking $25 plus $3 shipping. These go for about $45 or more retail and list for $65.

**SOLD**1 set of Lakland Joe Osborn Flatwounds (Lakland branded GHS Precision Flats) .45 .65 .85 .106 .128 (was cut to fit my 35' Lakland 5 thru-bridge)
Smooth feeling-nice combo of flexibilty and tension-great sounding flat also. These are also wound on a round core. I already sold another used set of these to a TB'er. Asking $22 plus $3 shipping. These go for $40 and Lakland does not seem to have any in stock at the moment.

*****Take BOTH sets of these Dean Markleys for $22 shipped in CONUS*****

1 set of Dean Markley NPS Round Core Bass 5 string set .45 .65.85 .105 .125 (was cut to fit a 35" scale Zon 5 string with a 3+2 headstock-perfect fit) Round wound Nickel Plated Steel on round core. Nice flexibilty. Sounds like a cross between a round and a flat with some old school/modern thump.

1 set of Dean Markley NickelSteel Bass 5 string set ML-5 .45 .65 .85 .105 .128 (was cut to fit a 35" scale Zon 5 string with a 3+2 headstock-perfect fit) Just a good nickel plated roundwound set. [b]These go for around $25 new.

**Sold**1 set of Zon Ultrasonic Nickel Bass 5 sting set .45 .65. .85 .105 .130 (was cut to fit on my 35" scale Lakland) This is an old/new set that I had sitting around and decided to try on my Lakland since I don't have my Zon anymore :-( Needless to say they are terrific strings. Nice feel and also easy tension and warm sound with good mids. These were only on a couple of days and NOT gigged or rehearsed with. They don't have the fancy packaging as these were direct from Zon when I was at their shop. They just sat in the package for a couple of years unused until a couple of weeks ago when I tried them on the Lakland. Just makes me want to pick up another Zon bass again and pull the trigger. Anyway, asking $12 plus $3 shipping. These are around $30+ strings from Zon.

I find the Laklands to be more flexible even though they are both on a round core. The Laklands are actually GHS Precision Flats made for Lakland. They are not as flexible as TI's though. They have a nice "easy" tension. The DR's are a little stiffer but still feel nice also.

Thanks for the report back Deep, I've got TI's on my P right now and love them, but I was looking at trying to reduce my contact with Nickel, and want a steel flat that's low tension like the TI's.

The Lakland JO's or GHS flats are really comfy without being overly flexible like the TI's. But for me I find the TI's to be just fine. They don't feel like wet noodles to me like some think they do. I think if a player has been used to playing regular flats for years and then put on TI's they will feel noodly to them. But if a player has been using medium or softer tension rounds for years the transition feels normal. Just my opinion of course.
**If you tried a lower gauge of Lakland flats or GHS flats you might get close to a "TI like" tension, but I'm not sure.**
