I have these in my Warwick 'vette. They sound great, much clearer and way more clean bottom end than the stock MEC's.

I was having some pretty major live sound issues in my new rig. Never had issues before. I tried swapping p/u's, different amps, different settings etc. Turns out, my new rig hates Chromes which I have used exclusively for 2 years. Threw a set of rounds on, BAM...rig came alive.

So that's why these are going...they sound great, but I am happy with the stock p/u's with rounds.

From the Bartolini website...

These are single coil units with strong lows and low mids. When used together they will have very low hum and noise levels. The tone of these pickups is deeper than vintage pickups; their strength is in the lows and low mids. The Neck and Bridge coils are equal as in the original Fender pair. Using either Neck or Bridge pickup alone will result in some hum and noise. -Our single coils are quieter than traditional single coils but not quiet enough to be recommended for use with electronics.

---I will add this...I had them installed with active electronics and did not have a noise issue.
