so this guy is supposed to be famous. got this off tb awhile ago and didnt use it till a few months after. and that was a year ago. its a jazz shape, drop in for any of the fender licensed stuff. Birds Eye Maple, and rosewood fingerboard.
frets are in perfect condition. two sets of tuner holes drilled in
ok. the last time i used it i recall having to shim it quite a bit. i dont have the extra body or time to check it out now. the truss rod turns and the neck looks dead straight from where im sitting. but i recall the truss rod not responding much (hence shimming it)
im selling the neck as is. and i guess if its cheaper for you guys to fix it in the states then this should be a bargain, replacing a truss rod that i think it may need will be twice the cost of a allparts neck in new zealand.
SO here you go. USD150 plus shipping anywhere in the world. i paid over USD300 to get it landed if i remember correctly.
I entertain offers and cream pies. this has been around for a year in my room unused and untouched!
pictures to come |

Have you tried to adjust it now, unmounted with no tension on the neck?
Thanks,
Greg | tried adjusting it last night unmounted with no tension on neck and you can feel the rod tightening.
i couldnt get the setup right last time (bearing in mind this is over a year ago) and just shimmed it to get the result i wanted.
back then i did not like 'vintage' placed truss rods, took me awhile to get my around them. still have trouble with them. lol. much prefer the necks with access at the top! it could very well just be i sucked at adjusting truss rods. i have nothing to try it on atm tho. |
