FS: Complete Active Pickup/Preamp Setup from Brubaker Brute

Sign in to disble this ad
Recently upgraded my Brute with some Barts, so have no use for these.

This is the complete assembly, pickups, preamp, foam, screws, jack....everything. It's wired and ready to go. Plug in a battery, solder the bridge ground, and rock.

Pickups are active Jazz pickups, 3.6" neck and 3.73" bridge.

Preamp is an Artec, with volume, blend, bass, treble.

I bought the Brute used, and I think the bridge pickup had been upgraded from stock already. It's a bit more beefy than the neck pickup. I would not recommend using these on a wide spaced 5 string. I don't think the bridge pickup is wide enough to sense the outer strings properly. However they will do fine on a 4 string or a narrow 5 string (the bass they came out of is a 5 string). Pickups show some wear, but nothing major.

$35 shipped to the lower 48 takes it all. Great for a project bass or to upgrade that SX!

May consider trades towards black Y-key mini tuners, or Speakon cables.

This whole thing is wired and ready to go. I've heard some say that the Brute does not have a 'blend' and that the blend pot actually acts as a 3 way switch, but this does indeed have a true blend control.

I think that's standard for most Fender 4's...it's the long/short setup. Might want to measure to make sure though. I'm not a Fender guy

Knobs are volume, blend, bass, and treble.
