FS Dimarzio Pickups

Sign in to disble this ad
White Dimarzio Split P. Each split is a humbucker, crazy wiring options. Sounds awesome solo'd or paired with an X2N-B. $50 shipped.

Next, a white Dimarzio X2N-B. The best pickup for metal? It's this one. Dimarzio's hottest pickup. $50 shipped.

Hey, why dose the Dimarzio X2N-b sound so good for metal? Can you describe it's sound at all?

I'm looking to replace a humbucker in my eb-2. I don't play metal, so I'm just wondering about the pups sound. Is it all lows, or is there a fair amount of mids and highs?

Also, did you run them active or passive?

Aaand can you tell me your reason for getting rid of them?

Thanks, sry bout all the Q's

I'm getting rid of the pickups because I don't play 4 strings anymore. The best pickup for metal is kind of a joke because of all of the "what is the best X for metal?" threads. The X2N is very dark yet mid-heavy, at least the way I was running it. I had it in the bridge running passive and going through 1Meg pots. If you use 250k or 500k it won't be as hot or middy and if you have it in the neck I heard it gets pretty dark. The output is really hot on it, it will overdrive your amps input if you want it to. Basically, hot mids and dark bass.
