FS: EMG Active P-bass pickup w/pots SOLD

Sign in to disble this ad
I have an EMG P-bass pickup with the wiring here, I used it in a project (2 pickups with separate controls and outputs) for a while before getting into high-output passive pickups and away from the nice hi-fi sound you get from active EMGs. Includes all wiring, it attatches to the pickup with the standard EMG quick-connect clip.

When I had it in the bass it got a surprising range of tones, the tone knob seemed to work like a boost frequency sweep. With the tone knob full on, the highs stood out strongly, while still keeping mids and some good lows, towards the middle it got more of a mid bump, kind of like a typical P-bass but with more power and clarity, and rolled all the way off it really brought the thunder, they don't kid when they say EMGs have huge amounts of bass, it gets some great lows without destroying the mids, and still with bass maxed there is little to no muddiness.

There are solder points under each bit of electrical tape, the tape is only there to insulate and protect the connections. I had to extend the leads for the battery clip, so if you use a battery box you can just unsolder the clip and wire straight to it.

Paypal only unless its a local deal (southern Massachusetts) for cash.
Looking for $65 plus shipping (shouldnt be much fits in a well-padded mailer), and for an extra $5 I'll throw in these abalone-topped knobs I custom ordered for it:

The Bass Handbook or somethin along those lines, picked it up off the bargain shelf cause the section on setups is rather good, never had to take any of my instruments to a tech. I always leave it on my workbench because I tend to forget truss rod and intonation directions.

Edit: Mid week bump
