I had these pickups (purchased on 1/9/11) in my bass for about 2 weeks. I
loved the sound (very much like a single coil pickup without the hum) but decided to go back to a passive pickup. I originally planned on adding an active preamp, and 18 volt set up but opted to keep my bass router free. I paid $195 with tax for these( 2 weeks ago- see receipt), yours for a bargain.
