Would this be a direct fit for a Lakland 55-02 or perhaps would it fit a MTD artist/Heir???

Also........what does the CS stand for?? Does EMG make more than one model for a musicman 5?

CS = dual coils, quick internet search: "uses parallel placed coils like the DC but are loaded with steel. The CS's are much warmer as a result of higher inductance, have a smoother attack and a flatter high end. They are the most "Traditional" sounding of the group"
