This is pretty much the coolest thing ever...
A 2004 Fender Geddy Lee Jazz bass body re-finished in gold sparkle that is insanely....um, sparkly. No photograph can truly do this finish justice but I've done my best with and without a flash at various angles.
Two little dings I found - one on the back edge near the battery box and one on the side edge (side edge one looks a little bit reddish.) Otherwise the finish is dang near perfect. The back of the bass was routed for a battery box, which is included, and there is another rout underneath where the pickguard goes, presumably to house an on-board preamp.
Original neck plate + screws are included. Ground wire appears to be installed.
I bought this on a whim and ended up not needing it. But if you ever price out a gold sparkle or gold flake finish from a refinishing service, you're likely to be told it will cost $400 or more just for the finish. Not to mention an unloaded J body will usually cost $100-$250 depending on where you buy it. Here's your chance to get what would normally cost you $500-$650 for a lousy
$175 plus shipping (lower 48.) I'm just trying to re-coup my losses, and hope that this can go to someone who will actually use it for some sort of obnoxiously awesome gold sparkle Adam Clayton style J-bass project
The only trade I would consider is an un-loaded P/J or P body. I don't care if it's finished or un-finished because I'd have it refinished anyway. Must fit a 34" standard Fender style neck.
