FS: Fender Geddy Lee Neck and 50's Classic 2TSB P Body or GEDDY P!

Sign in to disble this ad
This is my take on a Geddy P that I put together:

I love this bass, but I find that the Geddy neck is to thin for me. After trying out some thicker C shapes on some long gigs, I found the thin neck styles hurt me long term more than the thick ones. If you would like to purchase this bass as assembled with a Fender Ultra gigbag (used and worn, but very functional) and your choice of strings, the price is $625 shipped and will include all parts listed in this thread. The gigbag is included no charge with whole bass purchase. I can put either Rotosound 66's, Chrome Flats, Fender 7150M, 7250ML/L, Super Slinkys, DR Highbeams or some oldschool 7150ML's.

Or buy as parts.

Geddy Lee Neck: $325 Shipped

07 serial number.
Crafted in Japan
7.25" Radius

The Dirt: Chip in the heel where one neck screw goes into the neck. Not sure how this happened, but it happened. The truss nut is a little worn for its age. There is one ding on the backside of the neck on the bass side between the 2nd and 3rd frets. Great G note reference. Some headstock wear from being played. I attempted to picture them all, but they are all small and do not compromise the finish. Tuners are starting to show some age but they turn 100% and will last a great while longer with care.

The Gravy: Fret wear is very low, and the frets are clean. Very little age. The truss has not been maxed out, and there is plenty of turn to it (for me). I run lighter strings, YMMV. IMO these necks are not made for high gauge/tension string. Low action very possible, the nut is cut perfect IMO. I want all my nuts cut like this one. I wish I could hang with the thin neck.. this is what makes this neck desired for some and not for me.

50's Classic Body

06 Serial (neck sold on this thread HERE)

With Black PG and EMG Pickup: $275 Shipped
With factory PG and Pickup: $250 Shipped (resoldered to working condition before shipping)
As pictured w/ Everything: $300 Shipped

The Dirt: Players bass, so there is your typical buckle wear, marks on the sides from various surfaces. Factory Bridge not included.

The Gravy: In GREAT shape to be honest given the player wear. It looks like this is a perfect body from a distance. She is lightweight alder, around 5lbs loaded. Very resonant piece of wood. Comes with the Gotoh 201 bridge and the factory neck plate and screws.

I am not considering trades at this time. Sorry. Offers? Sure. Lowballers... meh.

Sweet! I already have an American bodied parts P with a jazz neck, so I don't need it.
BUT, if I had your asking price just sitting around, I'd have another one.
Good luck with the sale, although I don't think you'll need much luck to move this one.
