FS: Fender Marcus Miller USA 5-String Jazz Pickups

I bought these from Dex a couple of weeks ago.

(see here: F/S Fender Marcus Miller USA 5-string J pickups)

I was going to put them into one of my Jazz basses.

I've since changed my mind.

They are new and virtually unused.

I'll sell them for what I paid for them.

$90.00 shipped PayPal.

I'll put up pics later...

when you say "perfect for slapping" what does that entail, really? I slap, but not that much. I'm primarily a fingerstyle player. Since you never used them personally, not sure if I can ask (or if anyone else knows) What is their tonal output? How do they agree with a passive system?
I'm looking for a set of J V pups for either my fretted or fretless. I'd like them to be clear and articulate, not muddy. I have a set of SD 67/70's that I'm quite happy with, they satisfy the criteria. Lot's of midrange, they scream Jaco when the Bridge pup is solo'ed
I also have a set of Affinity Jazz V pups. Though they have a pretty flat tone curve, they aren't clear enough (for me)
How would these Marcus Pups compare?

Marcus Miller said the tone is that of his 77 jazz bass.

Having had a 4 string MM, I can tell you it's a great bass for finger style.

My MM I played in passive mode almost all the time, because passive sounded better to me.

Hopefully that helps...
