FS: Fender USA Hwy 1 P-Bass Neck

Excellent condition, works perfectly, nice grain in the rosewood. Upgraded with what I believe to be model HB7 Hipshot tuners (I didn't do the upgrade). Some light dings on the underside edge of the headstock, as shown in pictures.

Can't remember - is 2006 the year they switched to graphite reinforcing rods ?

I found this on the fender forum:

"Highway 1s produced before 2006 had the truss-rod access at the headstock; this means no graphite reinforcements. The current models use graphite reinforcement bars, so the truss rod can be adjusted from the heel."

Little Google search seems to yield consensus here and in other places that 2006 was the year they "upgraded" the older version.
