FS/FT Chrome Hipshot HB7 Tuners - SOLD!

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD!

I just got a set of 4 Chrome Hipshot HB7's as a drop in for my Squier CV P but it turns out I ordered the wrong ones and they don't fit.

They are brand new, mint. I only took one out of the packaging and realized it didn't fit.

$75 Shipped CONUS OR would trade for:

- Envelope Filter (Bassballs, Q-Tron, EBS for starters)

HB7 Tuning Machine > Store > Hipshot Products

Still here. Besides cash or effects trades I'll entertain other trades as well.

just curious why you were not able to return them? does Hipshot not take returns? Sucks to get stuck with brand new gear you can't use. I'll subscribe and follow your sale. I might be interested, but can't really justify the purchase right now...

No, I bought them through Guitar Parts Resource and and they have a 20% restocking fee plus I'd have to pay to return them. I'd rather take that money if I have to spend it and pass it on to someone else. I could exchange them but I'd still have to pay the 20% restocking fee and I decided not to replace the tuners I had.

Wow, that sucks. 20% plus shipping fees, yeah, I would sell them myself as well...

These are drop-in replacements for MIM necks, right? That is what Bill at Hipshot told me in an e-mail a little while ago...

That's my understanding. I was going to replace my Squier CV 51 P tuners, and I got confused in my research apparently and should have bought HB2's.

One question. What exactly comes with these? Do these include the piece that the strings wrap around? Forgive my ignorance. I am not such a fan of the MIM tuner posts that the strings wrap around.

It's the complete tuner which includes the post as well as the metal bushing that fits in the hole in the headstock. Though you shouldn't have to replace the MIM one, the tuners will drop right in. They really only include a new one if you're doing a new install entirely.

I've returned stuff to guitar parts resource without a restocking fee.

Like most companies their requirement is the item still be in the brand new packing with all original material so they can resell it again as new.

Once you've opened it it's used unless you are very careful with the packaging.

Return shipping is just about always on the customer and some companies will deduct the original money they spent to ship it to you from your refund.

Thanks. I'll try contacting them. I just went by what was on their website.
