Light Gauge 45 - 60 - 80X - 100X - 125X (X = exposed core)
I bought two sets of these strings recently because I'm at a crossroads with strings at the moment and was wanting to try something different. Well, these are just not what I'm looking for on my Sadowsky PJ5 so I'm selling/trading the second unused set.
"Helix HD Stainless Steel Bass Strings have a Patent Pending construction that feature a "Hyper Elliptical Winding" (Compressed from Side to Side) which gives the Helix HD Bass Strings more Mass and Tone as well as an extended string life. The Helix HD Bass Strings Hyper Elliptical Winding is what gives the Helix strings their special more relaxed feel with a lot less squeak and sliding noises than standard round wound bass strings.
Stainless Steel alloy is bright with a cutting timbre to it. Stainless Steel bass strings have an unforgettable stainless tone, something that must be played in order to undersatnd. Dean Markley most known Blue Steel strings are Stainless Steel and if you have played them you are close to knowing the tone of Helix Stainless Steel bass strings."
New, in the box and still in the plastic. I'd like $20
via Paypal and that includes CONUS shipping.
As for trades...well, I'm not really sure what I'm looking for. Something different than the Sadowsky Blues, Foderas and D'Addario's that I've had on this PJ thus far.
The silks are black on these strings for those that care/didn't know...
Here's a shot of the exposed core on the B, E and A strings at the bridge...
And, the B string begins to wrap around the post on a 34" scale like so...
