To my not very accurate ears they are not as "Clanky" as the stock pickup, but it can get aggresive very easily, i would say a more sersatile MM pickup that keeps the original MM sound

Out of curiosity, how did you hook this up? Did your music man have a switch or did you mod to add one? I'm definitely interested, but I would have to trade a pedal or something; I have no disposable cash right now.

I had it wired on with a 3 way switch on a modified stingray, any 3way switch would do the trick, it makes the pickup very versatile, but i had it on "regular" mode most of the time, i just dig that Phat stingray sound

I am no technical wiz, but I can do a little soldering; just wiring it normal into a stingray, is that tough? The biggest reason I am interested is that it is one of the few replacements with no open poles. Does this have a big magnetic pull? I want to run the pups really close to the string.

Would you be interested in an SFT, maybe a little on your end?

I dont have a lot of electronics knowledge either and i wired the 3 way... so it should be easy wire it the regular stingray way, they have a lot of helpful wiring diagrams at delano.de.
Whats a SFT?
