FS/FT ESP 400 Series Neck. Made in Japan? Maybe! Probably!

I bought this neck for a killer project that involved an SG-style body, a T40 pickup, and dreams, lots of dreams.

Then I found an abused 1960s Gibson SG that had been horribly mistreated and spray painted blue. I took it home, and tried to tell it everything will be all right. And that is that. No more bass project for now.

So, a used neck. Maple. From the 80s I think. No tuners, no nut. Got a string tree though. Seems to be in good but used shape. Couple of nicks and dings. There seems to be a slight back bow (which means if you throw some strings on it it will straighten out nicely), and the truss rod seems to move okay (at the heel), but I honestly have no idea. I never put it on anything. Frets seem to be okay, but they are worn a bit.

What's the radius? What am I, Leo Musicman? Seems to be thin and jazzy or Ibanezy. My only other basses are a P and a T40, so WAY thinner (back to front) than them.

There is no serial number except some writing on the heel, and there is no indication where it was made. I think these were made in Japan though.

Being sold as is. As is a decent project neck.

Into trades! I need a cool 4 string bridge of some sort and a DiMarzio Model J neck pickup. Both? Yes! Or maybe a cash/trade deal. Or 100 shipped? 70 shipped? Best offer? Have at me animals!

There is a little black streak and a ding right there. I couldn't get it to photograph well.

There are black dots for tuner placement. Or aerodynamics.

If it has a backbow, back that truss rod off/ loosen or this could become permanent.

It is so slight it is barely perceptible. It's virtually flat.

I put a straight edge on it (I really should be going to work though)--you could fit a credit card between the neck and the straight edge. The flat way, not the tall way.

Pair of dots. I can take more pics when I get home from work, unless you mean something else.

OK- I might be interested then...don't need a pic. A lot of the ESP and LTDs have a block inlay at the 12th with a model name, like this -

I just wanted to make sure it wasn't the block.

Thanks - I'll let you know If I need the neck.

This neck on a Dark Horse bass?

I would be honored, sir!

I would be happy to trade you some sort of 4 string bridge to go on an Epi T-bird Non-Reverse body with a P bass neck and a T40 pickup at the bridge. Let me know!
