FS/FT Fender Jazz Bass Neck RW

FS/FT Fender Jazz Bass Neck

For Trade is my 2005/2006 Made in Mexico Fender Standard Jazz Bass Neck. This fits any standard Mexi Fender Jazz or P Bass, as well as many (maybe all) Squier models.

It is a maple neck, with a rosewood fingerboard. Tuning machines included. Straight as can be.

I did sand most of the lacquer finish off the back of the neck. Plays a whole lot faster than the standard Fender overly-lacquered necks.

I have too many rosewood boarded necks, so I am looking to trade this for a Mexi Fender Jazz or P Bass neck with a maple fingerboard.

Pretty simple trade/sell.

If you've never removed a neck from a bass, it is super simple. I could do it for you if you are willing to trade, as it only takes a few minutes. I would also throw in some cash to make it happen if the neck is nice enough.

I'm a guitar parts junkie, so if you have something else, I may be persuaded to trade, but I would really prefer the maple boarded neck for a jazz bass.

Will sell outright for $200 shipped or best offer.

I sold a maple precision neck a few months ago for $275 with a bridge, after shipping, so I guess I'll just base it off of that.

so on the back of the neck did you remove all the poly down to the wood or just
partial ? Did you replace the finish with any oils ?

Thanks

High grit sandpaper to get all the poly off. Still has a good shine to it, as a lot of time was taken to do it right. No oil as of yet. I prefer the bare wood. But I guess if you wanted it oiled, I could make that happen. Was only played for a trial run after the poly removal.

Like I said, it still has a really good shine, so there may be a very small layer left. Looks to me like it's all gone, but a good shine nonetheless.
