the tone knob and EQ shift allow you to maintain a pile of low end. Pre-amp is great as a transparent boost (you can use them individually or together)

there is a great thread somewhere on Tbass with clips of the Hematoma (and a bunch of other ODs..) but I can't find it. I will search again and post a link if I find it.

I liked that it was capable of "warmer" subtle OD all the way up to full on. I just never use it becuase of the fact that here in Seoul we gig on different (house provided) gear twice a week and rarely have the time to set various pedal levels at band volume.

I liked the clips on the HBE site. They sound pretty good.

What's good for me is, I run all my FX through a looper w/ passive volume controls, so I just adjust that per instrument or setting, instead of messing w/ all my pedals.
