That's a nice one. Most VM squiers have 3+ peices of wood joined. That one having just two is probably a little more rare.

Its a good looking body. It won't kill me if it doesn't sell. That would just give me an excuse to build another bass !!!

A soft maple and Jon at Mouridian guitars said it reminded him of a solid Alder with a very slight brighter pop.

I love this bodies and think they kick butt...

I haven't measured it, but your question DID prompt me to see how my 80's MIJ P Bass neck fit in the pocket, and it was perfect - and now I'm considering building this bass up, so if you're interested, jump on it - I'll probably start building it tomorrow morning. Make a nice "Saturday project".
