FS/FT Vintage 70s Fender Bridge and Pickup

Sign in to disble this ad
For sale I have an original 1970s fender bridge and jazz bass pickup that were on a recent jazz bass I sold. I cant remember if the pickup was the neck or the bridge.

EDIT: I just found one of the bass' original tuning keys which is for sale 50 shipped.

Let say 170 shipped for both or the bridge for 110 and the pickup for 75.
Or 195 for all three.

Pics to come later tonight...

As far as trades go...

Might be interested in:
True bypass overdrive pedal
Strings (35 scale 5ers, 34 scale 4s,) rounds
6550 tubes (NOS or new unused)
High end gig bags
Wide Comfort straps

I will add $ for the right deal...

For those of you wondering about shipping I ship via EPS which is a dominican company that works with all major US and international carriers to ship and receive things in the states. http://www.eps-int.com/ As far as payment goes paypal works for me.

I think that bridge is pre-1970... What year did they switch from the threaded saddles to slotted?

Some food for thought...

According to my fender bass book, "1959: deeper grooved spiral saddles and a soft radius plate, This was the standard used on all Jazz and Precision Basses until 1969."

BUT I bought the bass from the original owner, and he said that was the bridge that came on it.... He replaced it with a badass II. Maybe this bridge was part of some leftover parts that got put on said bass in the factory... The tuners on the bass are period correct schallers... See post 2 for photos...

and here is said bass' headstock...

The tuners on it at the time of the sale weren't original though... Sold it to a fellow TBer for a good price about two or three years ago...

Heres photos of the pickup. The pickup numbers are 16 43 77 in case you can't make them out in the pictures. I tried it with an amp and checked to see if the pickup was working and it was. I also had it on the bass a long time ago although I do remember it was kind of weak, and thats why I switched the original pickups for the "original replacements" Bartolini HI-As....
