FS: G&G Vintage Hardshell Bass Case

I'm selling my G&G Vintage Hardshell Bass Case. I've owned a few of these cases and this one's an extra that I'm not using, so I might as well get a little money for it. I used it for a while to hold my jazz bass, but I believe it's also made to hold a precision bass as well.

This case is in great condition. The top of the case has a few black scuff marks on it, but I'm sure they could be cleaned off. The only other issue is that one of the feet on the back of the case is missing. All four feet on the bottom are still there, so it still sits upright just fine. No cracks or rips anywhere on or in the case. The inside of the case is still in like-new condition.

The case is made of wood, and is very sturdy. The inside of the case has the hidden storage compartment in the middle, under where the neck rests. The handle is offset, so that the weight is balanced properly when carrying a bass inside.

I'm selling the case for $125, including shipping to anywhere within the lower 48 states.

Do you happen to have the key for it?

It appears to be molded for a Jazz style bass. Do you have a Precision style bass that you can check the fit with? I would be using it for a P style bass, and would not want it to be able to slosh around inside.

I do have the key for it. A friend of mine has a P bass I could check it with. I'll see if I can get it from him today

I checked the case with a Fender P bass, and it would not fit. So apparently it's only cut for a jazz bass.

Just worked on cleaning the black suff marks off, and I got them about 75% removed. Now they're only lightly noticable from up close. All I did was scrub with a little 409 cleaner and a cloth. So I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to remove them even more.

Usually, it's the other way around. A Jazz Bass will not fit into a P case. But, a P Bass always fits in a J case.

Or are you saying that a P Bass fits very loosely in your case?

A really nice looking case!

The P bass wouldn't go down into the cutout.

Bump... Case is still available, and black scuff marks are MUCH less visible now that I've cleaned them.

FYI that looks exactly like a Mike Lull custom hard shell G&G case. The cream / black even the blue poodle velvet. Those are the custom cases that G&G makes for mike. Post a link on the Lull club and ask. And you may attract more buyers.

If wouldn't fit a Fender MIM P bass. Not sure if a Lull P is exactly the same or not.
