FS - Hipshot BT10 Bass Xtender

Sign in to disble this ad
For sale is a practically brand new Hipshot BT10. I bought it new, opened it up and determined it was the wrong Hipshot for my bass. So while I can't technically say its "brand new in its original packaging" since I opened it....I can say it hasn't been used and is as good as brand new.

$55 (Paypal please) shipped to the lower 48...will ship elsewhere for additional shipping charges. I will also entertain trade offers for equal value.

Thanks for looking.

Link to the Hipshot product page (which also includes a youtube link on installation - these things are a breeze to install).

I'm not sure, I just sent a message to Hipshot asking and will let you know.

As much as I wish this was the right Hipshot for you, it looks like it isn't. This is the response I just received from Hipshot on this question:

Quote:
I don't think it will fit, I'm sure that they are different tuners. The CV stands for Classic Vibe, and the closest match that we have would be our BT7 Xtender. Here again the string post size will be different, with the BT10 having a smaller string post. The BT10 will work on the Aerodyne basses and are the direct replacement for these models.

Would this fit a Squier P-bass Special (PJ Bass)?

Some further info I've received from Bill at Hipshot:

Quote:
The Squier P-bass Special uses the BT7 Bass Xtender. This would be the direct replacement for the stock tuner. The BT10 works on some of the Japanese RI and Mustang models, also the Peavey Zodiac bass and some of the newer Yamaha BB614.
Also, as mentioned above, the BT10 also works on the Aerodyne basses.
