FS: Jazz Bass Varitone Control Plate - Mint!

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a standard (V/V/T) Varitone control plate with 6 position tone selector that I bought for a bass project that was never finished. It's in mint condition and is a "drop-in" for any standard jazz bass. I have never used it.

$79.00 shipped in the CONUS

This looks like a nice replacement for my deluxe preamp. What do the 6 positions do? The pots look like push/pulls.

If my memory serves me correctly, the Neck Volume Pot pulls out to engage parallel mode and the Bridge Volume Pot pulls out to bypass the 6 position tone pot. The 6 position tone pot gives you 6 selectable pre-set tone settings rather than having a sweepable tone control. It makes it easy to get the same exact tone setting quickly.

Like I said, I have not actually used this since I bought it quite a while back so I would have to hook it up to be absolutely certain.

The wiring is ridiculously clean. Interested in any trades?

I would be willing to consider some kind of a trade involving an Aguilar OBP-3 or Bartolini NTMB active preamp (4 knob configuration).

Also I could use a couple more Hercules stands.

Possibly a Hipshot 5 string bridge in chrome.

I am open to all reasonable cash or trade offers!

Still available!

This is a pretty inexpensive way to "soup-up" your jazz bass!
