This is a lightly used Marcus Retro preamp from John East. This preamp has volume/blend, treble/bass (treble pulls out for treble boost), mid/mid selector and tone. It also has an active/passive switch and a blend shutoff switch (puts both pickups full on). This is designed to be a drop in replacement for the Marcus Miller Jazz Bass and is on a Marcus control plate but it could be re-fitted for other basses as well. This is a really nice unit. However, I am looking to simplify somewhat. This preamp provides a ton of versatility to any bass. These go for $350 brand new. I am asking $225 shipped CONUS. I prefer a sale but I will consider a trade (plus cash) for a 2 band on-board preamp from Aguilar, Sadowsky, Bartolini or possibly EMG. John East preamps are among the very finest onboard preamps available today. You can get specs on this at

The knobs look black in this picture but they are actually chrome.
