| Well, I had older version on my 55-02 D which I thought the sound was somewhat sterile and thin sounding especially in the upper frequency. Version D made it sound more organic and fuller treble region. To me it was a vastly different, and much improved sound. For reference, I had rosewood fret board and quilt top so it was an alder body. If there is anybody who still has Rev C, you should get the Rev D if you want some more rounded fuller sounding treble region.
