FS: Mørch Full Fingers alnico 5 string pickups

Sign in to disble this ad
These are the Mørch "full fingers" 5 string soapbars. The internal construction is like a split Precision type:

"This pickup provides a typical single-coil-like Alnico magnet sound with fullness, great warmth even on the high notes and a slightly Vintage-like, rolled-off treble and a certain tube-like character."

These retail for €188/ea (around USD $250). Asking $150 + shipping for the pair. Feel free to ask any questions.

What would the precise dimensions be and spacing between the poled under the covers?

The covers are 103mm X 34mm

As for spacing of the poles, I can't give you precise numbers unless I take them apart. What I can say is that with magnetic paper, you can see the field is contiguous from one end of each coil to the other. That is to say, there is no drop-off in the field between the individual poles, the magnetic field looks like what you would see with a blade design.

Humpday bump

FWIW, I've got some EMG40 sized covers (4 X 1.5") that you could put these pickups in if that size works better. They are included if you want.
