For sale is my Malekko Heavy Industry B:Assmaster Germanium w/ exp pedal input. The expression pedal input is apparently a fairly new option, as this was the 5th one ever to come stock with this. Pedal is very low hours, maybe 3 total. Cost me over $300 new. Selling for $230 shipped. Comes with original box, and silly teeth that were hiding within the pedal's casing. Perfect condition cosmetically and functionally. I've babied this pedal. BABIED!

Opinion

Two totally different beasts. This is a cleaner, more "transparent" fuzz because of the "bass" knob (same as a wet/dry knob), with an octave effect that kicks in when sustaining notes start to decay; but the B:Assmaster has no tone knob, so if you're a person that is afraid of using effects, this can be a bit more aggressive. Great with a low pass filter. This pedal doesn't really have a scooped sound like a muff. Muff would be less expensive and probably a bit more versatile over the actual fuzz tone you can achieve standalone. Check out PepTone Elctronics, they mod the russian muff and I've been wanting to try them for a while. Also, if you're solder savvy, OLC makes a Lovetone Big Cheese clone which I've had my eye on as well for $90 a kit. But listen to samples of the B:Assmaster as well, because it's a very unique fuzz. It's all a matter of what you like, what you're willing to settle for, and at what cost.
