FS: Nordstrand Dual Coils for 5 string (EMG 45 size)

These are in the EMG 45 shell, (4.5 X 1.5) 19mm spacing. (I had them in my MTD 535 briefly) Parallel wiring.

If you want to get creative/experimental with other tones in your MTD, this would be a good pair of pickups for you. Go series, parallel or single coil.

My blues gigs these days are calling out my Fender, and this project never grew wings. (I never fully explored all the wiring options and don't have the time anymore)

$275 shipped CON US. (I would consider a trade for a mint GS112)

I am trying to figure out how to resize the pics I took, so please be patient or PM me and I can send them to you.

to resize the pics, open them with paint. then go to "image" and select stretch/skew, where you can type in the percentage you want to reduce the dimensions by.

there is a possibility i'm interested in these, but i'm a little confused. I thought the EMG 40 shape was their 5 string 19mm pickup...?

thanks

Carey has designed the DC to fit in a number of shell sizes/configurations. These are custom made to fit in a MTD 535 which has a larger sized pickup shell. (EMG 45) So the actual guts of the pickups are larger than the EMG 40/P2 size. Not sure if the number of windings are the same however, I never asked Carey about that. As I understand it, this is a custom size for the DC, so I guess these pickups are unique in that regard. Hope that helps.

They sound VERY punchy and defined.

Will these fit in an MTD Z-5?

Probably not. These are 4.5 X 1.5 (in inches) I suspect the Z is a smaller pickup housing. However the string spacing is the same.
