FS: Nordstrand Dual Coils in EMG35 covers

Nordstrand Dual Coils 4-string set (neck and bridge)
In EMG 35HZ covers

I paid $250 18 months ago.

I'm asking $175 paypal shipped via USPS for the pair. Killer deal on some brand new pups.

These pickups are still in their factory plastic. I bought them for a project bass that's not gonna happen, so I never even took them out of the plastic.

These would be a mind-blowing drop-in replacement for any bass with EMG 35HZs.

Wound for parallel wiring (which is better if you intend to do coil splitting, which many people do with these pickups.) From the Nordstrand website:

Quote:
These pickups are available in two different versions. One set is designed to be wired in parallel, and the other in series. The reason we do this is that a pickup that is made to sound good wired parallel will usually be too hot and dark sounding if wires in series. So, we put less wire on a series dual coil than a parallel dual coil.

In general, a pickup wired in series will have a fuller and fatter midrange with a subdued high end than a pickup wired in parallel, which will typically have more highs and a deeper low end with a cleaner midrange. Series pickups also have more output than parallel pickups. Parallel pickups are generally a better choice for a split-able installation, as there will not be the gain loss associated with series pickups.
I'm not really looking for any trades on this one, but maybe you can sway me with a bizzaro effects pedal. Who knows.

Still here.

I have two people trying to raise the scratch to make it happen, but they're still on the market.

On hold pending payment, then on hold pending trade if that payment doesn't come through.
