Pups are basically brand new. I had them professionally installed in my jazz bass but quickly realized that I am a purist when it comes to single coil pups. I have since sheilded my bass cavity and had my single coils professionally re-installed. Pups were in my bass for 5 days. These pups sound as close to a true single coil as I could imagine from a split coil hum canceling design. They are incredibly quiet. Killer pickups, just not ideal for me. Pups come in the original box with screws.
