FS: P Bass body with P/J pickups and Hipshot

Sign in to disble this ad
THE BODY IS SOLD...... THANKS ALL

This is a light weight P bass body with a Fender P pickup and
a Seymour Duncan Jazz bridge pickup. It also has a Hipshot
bridge. The body has been stripped to a natural finish. Its
smooth and attractive. It was put together at 30th St Guitars
in NY. Totally pro job. Everything is there. All that's needed is
a neck and plate. I planned on doing a project but just never
got around to it. I did make sure the electronics work.

This is a great piece at a great price. $150. shipped

The bridge is a Hipshot, slotted, Vintage bridge.
The color is a little warmer than in the pics.

Trades?? I need a looper. I don't know. I'm trying to get rid
of some of my many acquisitions in order to make my wife
(she who must be obeyed) happy.

yep very good prices, the hipshot and the pickups themselves are worth more than the 150!

Thanks for the support guys. I've had a number of inquries
about this body. I thought it would go really quick.
I've got major G.A.S. and I've been selling a bunch of things
I know I just won't use really cheap, and its all been selling
off quite fast. Someone is going to be very happy with this
body. thanks again.

Will this take a Fender neck?

I don't really want to part it out, and yes it will take a Fender
neck.
There is a possible deal working. Everything is on hold for a
minute. I'll post results.

My trade fell through, so the body's back on the block. I found
the original discription. Here it is.....

Nice lightweight PJ bass body. The body was originally a MIM P bass that was sanded and finished with some kind of light oil. This was done by a previous owner and they did a very nice job. The finish is very smooth and satiny - a very 'natural' feel without being raw wood. The J pickup and electronics were professionally installed by Matt at 30th street guitars NYC. The bass is shielded, runs very quiet and the pickups work nicely together. Overall it is in used but good condition - has a nice 'broken in' vibe - no major dings but some small checking and finish wear. Sounded great when I was using it. The P pickup is the stock MIM pup that came with the bass. The Bridge pup is a Seymore Duncan hot stack hum cancelling. Bridge is hipshot vintage. It is ready to go - just needs a neck.

P/J body

hmmm, pretty intersted but was the MIM body originally routed for the bridge pup ? And, how is there "checking" on an oiled finish ?

The bridge pickup and wiring work was done by Matt at 30th
st guitars in NY. I'm not sure what checking means either.
Even though I haven't used the body, I've looked at it and
held it. It feels nice and is on the lighter side for a mim body.

This body really is too good a deal not to grab at this price.
