FS: Padauk/Wenge Jazz neck
Selling a 4-string Jazz Neck. This neck is made of Paduak, and features a Wenge fingerboard. I got it from a builder located in Michigan.
I have finished the neck with Tru-Oil and it looks and feels great. However, it doesn't fit my Squier bass body.
The width of the neck is 2 13/32" at the 20th fret, shy of the needed 2 1/2" by 3/32".
Also, the curve of the heal-end of the neck doesn't match the radius of a standard Fender pocket; it's a little flatter.
The neck is very straight, and its tone has a nice ring. This is the same wood used to build Marimbas. The truss rod is located at the heal/butt of the neck.
The neck would work for someone building their own bass body (beyond my current skills and time). It has not been pre-drilled, and currently has no nut installed.
