I recently upgraded to an MOTU 828MK2 sooo....
Up for sale is my Presonus Firebox. I purchased it new in July of 2008 and used it almost every day since. It's had excellent reliability and flexibility. I've used it on both Win XP sp3 and Apple OS X Leopard computers equally reliably.
I will say that the level adjustment pots can be scratchy at times when turned. It comes and goes, and seems to lessen with use. I don't remember when it started doing that but it's been quite a while. It doesn't affect performance at all, and in my case, I tended to set them once and then use the controls in the DAW most of the time.
There is also a smudge in the lettering. That happened today when cleaning it. I must have rubbed a little to hard. It's never been in a rack, never left home, and has worked very well the whole time I've owned it.
Included is the original box, the 3 CD's it came with, a firewire cable, AC adapter, and breakout cable. I can't find the original manual, I usually just use the pdf version. The manual and current windows and OS X drivers and control panel are available at presonus com.
I do live in a smoking home, but take excellent care of my gear.
