FS: REED JAMES NEO 5 STRING SOAP BAR PICKUPS
 

These are direct replacement pups for bartolini MK1 pups. I bought to put in a Lakland 5501, but I eventually sold the bass before pickups were received. So, the pups have never been used.

Asking $200.00 $175.00 shipped CONUS. I believe the price of these pickups increased at the beginning of the 2013.

What sound were these pups wired to go after? Are they single coil, humbucking? High output low, output? More info, I'm interested.

They are passive humbucker. Tone, made to be versatile for finger or slap..enhanced harmonics. The pups have been shielded for noise free operation. I haven't tried them in anything, sold my 5501.

Love these pickups.

The RJNeo humbucker is a great all around pickup. Very clear, high output without sounding aggressive or too modern, it works well in most applications.

And there just happens to be a nice black 5501 for sale on bass page.

This is one fine TB'er..............by the way I bought his 5501 and it is one amazing bass!!!! I just wish he had waited and put in these pickups before I grabbed it!!!

One more thought here...........everybody in this thread is someone I have bought, traded, talked too, etc. One big family here.............Harold is the man with the technical knowledge.........(muislogic)!!!

I own some Reed James pups in my Rbass and just ordered a set for my benavente. Truely a world class pickup and Jim is a great guy too.
